We promote plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). PHEVs are like regular

first plug-in Prius), and are working on others to show what can

build PHEVs.
d.light
d.light is a spin-off from Stanford composed of MBA’s,
mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers. We are committed
to meeting the needs of 1.6 billion people who do no have access
to electricity and rely on kerosene lanterns and candles to meet
their lighting needs, spending up to one third of their income
just to be able to see at night. d.light is developing and
commercializing off-grid lighting and power solutions that are
safer, less expensive, and brighter than existing fuel-based
lighting. We will be working over the summer to finalize our
product design and conduct market testing in Southeast Asia.
